Shortenills House, Chesham

We are excited to welcome students, families and professionals to Shortenills House, our new specialist SEMH provision opening in Chesham in September 2026.

At Shortenills House, we believe that every young person deserves to feel safe, understood and valued. Our provision will provide a warm, nurturing environment where strong relationships, high expectations and personalised support enable students to flourish both academically and personally.

We recognise that many of our students will have experienced challenges in their educational journey. Through a trauma-informed approach, a carefully tailored curriculum and a dedicated team of skilled professionals, we will support young people to rebuild confidence, develop resilience and rediscover a love of learning.

As part of the Shortenills, students will benefit from a culture where everyone matters. We are committed to helping every child embrace challenge, celebrate success and develop the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for their future.

Located in the heart of Chesham, Shortenills House will provide a welcoming and supportive community where young people can thrive, grow and achieve their potential.

We look forward to opening our doors in September 2026 and beginning this exciting new chapter.

All consultations for Shortenills House must come to us from the Local Authority.  We do not take referrals directly from schools or parents/carers.

Once a consultation has been received and we believe we can meet the young person's needs, we will be in contact to arrange a tour of one of our schools.  For the benefit and well-being of the young people we support we are unable to offer school visits to parents/carers prior to this time.
