FAQs

Can I refer my child?

No, the referral has to come from your child's current school or the Local Authority.

What if my child has an EHCP?

If your child is referred to Aspire and has an EHCP, this will be fully supported, however the cost to the mainstream school will be more. Parents and Schools should refer to our prospectus for more information.

If you child has an EHCP with Social Emotional Mental Health needs, please be aware of our consultations for placements:

Consultations for placements at Shortenills Schools

Shortenills Forest and Shortenills Abbey are only for students with (EHCP) Educational Health and Care Plans for SEMH needs.

All consultations for Shortenills Forest and Shortenills Abbey must come to us from the Local Authority. We do not take referrals directly from schools or parents/carers.

Once a consultation has been received and we believe we can meet the young person's needs, we will be in contact to arrange a tour of one of our schools.  For the benefit and well-being of the young people we support we are unable to offer school visits to parents/carers prior to this time.

What are your admissions criteria?
