SEND at Aspire
The overwhelming majority of our students have special educational needs or disabilities.
At Aspire, our aim to "build strong foundations and open new doors" applies to children with SEND in exactly the same way as those without. We ask "what is best for this child?" and "how can we make that happen?" And we encourage staff to reflect on these questions at all times, and to always ask themselves: “how would I feel if this was my child?” Our approach to SEND is crucial to achieving this vision and ensuring all our young people get the support they need to flourish.
As providers of Alternative Provision, Aspire educates young people with a wide range of SEND. Each school or service work with students at different stages in their SEND journey.
Each school or service will therefore have a slightly different approach to identifying SEND needs.
